The Salamonie Lake and Salamonie River State Forest comprise over twelve thousand acres. Both tourists and residents may enjoy camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and picnicking. There are even bridle trails, cross-country ski trails, and snowmobile trails on the state property. The Salamonie Interpretive Center offers interpretive activities and workshops for both the young and young at heart.
