Salamonie Reservoir and Salamonie River State Forest
comprise a total of 12,433 acres. The property is operated and maintained by the
Indiana Department of Natural Resources under a lease agreement with the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers.
The property boasts sixty ponds, marshes and wetlands.
Salamonie Reservoir and Forest is located in Huntington and Wabash Counties in
northeastern Indiana. Accessible from 524 on the west and S.R. 124 to the south.
Highways 9 and 105 also cross the property.
Salamonie hosts the Crappie USA tournament.
